Soft Turkish delight rolls

INGREDIENTS

250 g lard

5 tablespoons water

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

2 tablespoons vinegar

500 g flour

20 g Turkish delight

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

For dusting:

150g icing sugar

Soft Turkish delight rolls

COOKING TIME 1 h
SERVES 45
  1. Mix all ingredients until well blended.
    Cover the dough with foil and place in refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
    Roll the dough into 4 round sheets to be cut into 12 triangular pieces.
  2. Place pieces of Turkish delight on the base of the triangles, then roll.
  3. Place the rolls in lined baking tray and bake for 20 minutes in preheated oven at 180°C.
  4. Roll them in icing sugar as soon as you remove them from the oven.
