Gingerbread

INGREDIENTS

2 ½ tea cups of sugar

3 tablespoons of honey

3 eggs

2 teaspoons of baking soda

250 gr. of crashed walnuts

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

½ teaspoon of carnation

2 packs of vanilla essence

SERVES 6
  1. Mix 1 ½ tea cup of sugar, 3 soup spoons of honey, 1 yolk, 1 tea spoon of baking soda and the vanilla essence. Then add some flour and knead soft dough.
  2. Beat 2 eggs, 1 glair with 200 gr. of sugar, cinnamon, carnation, 1 tea spoon of baking soda and knead it into dough.
  3. Mix the two kinds of dough and let the dough for 4 hours. Roll in into flat loaf, ½ cm. thick and use forms for sweets to turn it into different shapes. Put them in lightly oiled pan and bake them at moderate oven. When the cookies turn red, take them out of the oven and let them cool on a wood board.
  4. Make a glaze with 1 tea cup of powdered sugar, mixed with 1 glair, few drop of lemon juice and a piece of butter. Color part of the glaze with pastry paint. Use a special pastry coloring brush for the cookies. 
  5. Let them dry and arrange them in a beautiful platter.
